Deadline:

THE DEADLINE TO RESERVE A ROOM AT THE SEAVIEW AT THE USAF DISCOUNTED BASE RATE OF $139 (based on availability) IS SUNDAY, JUNE 18th. 

 

Scholarships – 5 scholarships for Full Camp/Aikido Only (4 full days of Aikido (Mon. thru Thurs. plus Fri. morning) are available this year. Scholarship recipients are responsible for paying their travel, food and hotel expenses. The deadline for application submissions is MAY 15, 2023. Summary of what is different from previous camps held at the Seaview Hotel –

 

1. There are no catered dinners at the hotel, only an end-of-the camp banquet on Thursday evening. There will be food available for purchase at the hotel and a list of local options will be made available.

2. Hotel room prices are a flat rate and do not change based on the number of people staying in a room.

3. Breakfast buffet is not built into the room price, but is available for purchase at a discounted rate.

4. Classes are available 4 full weekdays (Mon-Thurs) and 1 class on Friday morning. There are no weekend classes as there were in past years.

5. Nights available at the USAF discounted rate are Sunday (July 30th) through Thursday (Aug. 3rd). Booking a room for any other night will require you to call the hotel directly (i.e., you will not be able to do it through the hotel portal). Prevailing rates will apply.

6. Any upgrades to the discounted room-type (i.e., other than double or king rooms) need to be requested. Additional charges above the $139 base rate per night will apply as determined by the hotel.

7. You will receive the link to the hotel portal when you register for any of the camp options (including full camp, day passes and banquet).

Refunds and Cancellations –

 

*All Camp options (camp packages & day passes) include a $50 nonrefundable deposit.     

*Cancellations after the DEADLINE date, Sunday, June 18th are non-refundable.

NOTE: When you register online, you will be asked if you wish to register additional people before your payment is processed. You may register multiple people without leaving the registration site and then pay for everyone you register together. You will also be asked if you plan on staying on-site at the hotel.

 

HOTEL INFORMATION

Starting this year, the room rate is a “base rate” of $139, regardless of the number of guests sharing the room. Once camp registration is open, you will need to register for camp in order to book a room at the USAF discounted rate. Your camp registration confirmation email will include a link to book your room through the hotel portal.

 

• You will be able to reserve a USAF discounted hotel room through the hotel portal for any (or all) of the following 5 nights: Sun., July 30th, Mon., July 31st, Tues., Aug. 1st, Wed., Aug. 2nd and Thurs., Aug. 3rd, based on availability.

• If you would like to stay at the hotel prior to Sunday night, July 30th, or any other night than the 5 discounted nights, then you will need to book directly with the hotel (not through the portal) and you will pay the prevailing rate(s).

• Choice of room will be either a double room (2 queen-sized beds) or a king room (1 king-sized bed), based on availability.

• Maximum # of people in a room is 4.

• Hotel rates are subject to NJ sales tax (6.625%) and NJ occupancy tax (8%). Additionally, there is a onetime service charge of $6.50 per person, per room to cover services provided by Bell Staff, Valet Staff and Doorman.

• Check-in/Check-out times are 4pm on arrival and 11am on departure.

• The deadline for hotel reservations at the discounted rate is Sunday, June 18, 2023.

• Minimum age to rent a room and stay at the hotel without any adult supervision is 21.

 

Discounted Breakfast - Breakfast is NOT included in the price of the room. However, you will be able to purchase a buffet breakfast during your stay at the hotel at the discounted rates for our group as follows:  $14 for adults; $10.95 for kids ages 6-12 and $5.95 for kids 5 and under (plus tax and gratuity).

 

Hotel cancellation policy and charges – The hotel requires 48-hour cancellation notice or else the first night will be charged to your credit card.

 

Roommates – If you are sharing a room, please designate one person to make the room reservation. This person will have to list roommates on the hotel site and each roommate will need to secure their place in the room by giving credit card details to the hotel. (Credit card information will not have to be given for each roommate if only 1 person is paying for the room for all nights.) Please make sure all roommates are aware if any of the roommates cancel to avoid the hotel reservation from being canceled and incurring any related cancellation fees.
