50th Annual Etsunengeiko

The Long Island Aikikai is pleased to invite you to our 50th Annual Etsunengeiko. Literally translated as "passing over to the new year in training," Etsunengeiko is an opportunity for students to reflect on their past year's practice and re-instill the ideals of the founder as they commit themselves to a new year of training. After class, students can participate in the optional misogi; a purification ritual done with cold water which is said to strengthen the body, clarify the mind, and refine the spirit. A potluck party will follow. Sleeping accommodations are available.

This is a FREE event open to all ranks and affiliations.
